Aqualen Studio Indie | UE | Water Worlds

Oceans, Ruins & Quiet Catastrophes

We are a small, stubborn studio exploring drowned cities, fading myths and slow-burn disaster stories. Built on Unreal Engine, AI-assisted tools and a lot of late-night coffee in Larnaca & Chengdu.

Current & Legacy projects

A quick snapshot of what Aqualen Studio is currently touching. Some are live prototypes, some are ghosts from older timelines (hi, Inkighter).

Live prototype

A small, juicy match-3-like with capybaras, water tiles and “tidal” board resets. Built in Unity as a sandbox for monetization, content pipelines and A/B testing.

Legacy project

A long-running 2D ink-brawler that went through too many iterations, remote teams and code rewrites. It taught us a lot about scope, pipelines, and when to kill your darlings.

Unity · Custom tools · East-ink aesthetics
Currently frozen, tech & art being recycled.
Future waterworld IP
UE5 · Open Ruin exploration
Pre-production

Long-term IP: a half-sunk world in 2035+ where cities are just scaffolding on top of old floodlines. Slow exploration, salvage black boxes, and conversation with ghosts from previous timelines.

Unreal Engine 5 · Single-player · Narrative systems
Early research, no public builds yet.

Bubble Rush — Browser mini-game

A tiny JS toy set in the same “Capy Crush” mood: pop glowing bubbles before the timer runs out. It’s not the real mobile build — just a playful warm-up living on the website.

Bubble Rush
Click / tap the glowing orbs to score. Combo streaks boost your multiplier. You have 45 seconds. Simple, juicy, a good way to see if your mouse is awake.
Built-in browser
Input: mouse / touch Session: 45s Engine: pure JS + canvas

This is a standalone JS toy, not a WebGL build. The actual Capy Crush mobile prototype lives in Unity with more serious economy & puzzle design.

Who is behind Aqualen

Aqualen Studio is a small label attached to Joytoart Gaming Limited (Cyprus). It focuses on water-heavy IP, systems design and long-form worldbuilding instead of pure “feature shopping”.

Joytoart Gaming Limited is the parent company handling publishing, finance and legal. Aqualen Studio is the creative / experimental label under it, where prototypes and new IPs are born.

We like tight loops, weird systems, and characters who feel like people instead of quest dispensers. We’re slowly building a connected “floodline” universe across multiple games and mediums.

Based in Cyprus & Chengdu, we work async across timezones, using UE, Unity, AI tooling and a lot of Notion boards.
